Explore Boston’s North End

About This Tour

The North End is a short walking distance from downtown and one of Boston’s most beloved neighborhoods. The North End is famous for its Italian food but it is also the first settlement area dating to 1630. We will cover it all - the 1600s to 2020s. We will meet under the Bell in Hand sign and take a loop through this welcome addition to the Boston food scene. We will then cross the Rose Kennedy Greenway and travel into the North End up Salem Street exploring the side streets as we go. We’ll see the exterior of the Old North Church and see the second oldest burial ground, Copp’s Hill.

We will see the Paul Revere monument and the last remaining Charles Bulfinch Church. We will see a private memorial to the Saints as we pop in and out of markets and bakeries along the walk. We will talk about the Great Molasses Flood, the Brinks Robbery, and Ponzi. We will conclude our tour in front of Paul Revere’s House.
