General FAQs

  • Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time listed on your reservation.

  • Tips are appreciated but not expected.

  • Masks are not required outside, but please have one handy for when we go into spaces for the restroom or to get out of the weather for a bit.

  • Well behaved and leashed pets are allowed except on the North End tour - we walk into markets and bakeries and pets are not allowed in businesses in Boston.

  • I recommend comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a bottle of water, and dress for the weather. From late fall through mid-spring hats and gloves are recommended.

  • Yes! I offer two different Freedom Trail tours. My bestseller is the two-hour Welcome to the Freedom Trail Tour that covers six stops of the Freedom Trail in-depth.

My three-hour Rock Stars of the American Revolution is designed for those that want a more in-depth portrait of the players and events of the early years of the American Revolution. We cover 13 of the Freedom Trail stops on that tour.

  • I can provide a map upon request. Maps can also be picked up at Faneuil Hall or the Visitor Center on Tremont Street in the Boston Common.

  • Knowledge of American history is not required to fully enjoy your walking tour.

  • Due to COVID-19 - there are certain restrictions on entering sites. Until these restrictions are lifted, we will stay outside.

Accessibility FAQs

  • Boston, in general, is wheelchair accessible. Please notify me of any special needs before your tour.

  • All tours are in English only.

  • Guests need to be able to walk at least a mile on uneven sidewalks and stand for periods of 5-10 minutes at a time.

  • Parents need to decide the appropriate age for the tour. Depending on the tour, the content we cover may be above your child’s age level. If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact me.

  • For most tours, there aren’t any facilities available. Please plan ahead.

Booking & Refunds FAQs

  • Please be on time. I ask that all guests arrive at each tour's departure point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled tour departure time to make sure you don't miss out. All of my historical tours of Boston do depart on time. If you are going to be late, please get in touch with me as soon as possible.

  • I don’t cancel tours unless we are told to stay home by the Mayor or Governor due to extreme weather. In that case, I will send an email and text 24 hours in advance should I need to cancel.

It is windy here; it rains, it snows….we carry on and come prepared for the weather. If you would prefer to change to a different day and I have bookings for that day you can move your reservation.

  • If I am forced to cancel due to the weather, I will refund your money. If you decide not to attend due to weather- you can move your reservation, or I will honor your reservation on a future visit.

  • General Cancellation Policy:

Refunds are issued if you cancel a week or more in advance. If you cancel in under a week, you are able to reschedule to an existing tour.

  • Yes, rescheduling is allowed as long as there is availability for the desired tour date and time.
