Explore Back Bay & Beacon Hill

Explore Boston’s rich history, culture, and heritage beyond the Freedom Trail.

About this Tour

I will orient you to the city in general and then off we will go!! I will share with you stories and the history of the sites we pass in these fascinating neighborhoods. While considered by many to be exclusive enclaves of the rich and reclusive, there are many facets to these adjacent areas.

We will start in Copley Square (see the many varied architectural styles), the marathon’s finish line and Newbury St. (one of the main shopping streets). We will see the oldest botanical garden and the oldest public park in America. Grab your camera for the most photographed street in Boston. We’ll stop by “Cheers” where “everybody knows your name.”

The tour concludes with the first stop on the Freedom Trail - the Massachusetts State House and Civil War memorial.
